With the deepening concept of environment protection and the development of carbon peaking and neutrality across the world, wood-plastic composite materials and modern timber structure technologies, due to their merits of renewable, low-carbon and environmentally friendly, as well as weather-resistant features, has grown exponentially in areas of outdoor landscape, patio construction and urban greening. Meanwhile, Asia has served as the key manufacturing hub in the global WPC industry, with that China, Japan and the Southeast Asia countries whose products have been widely used in scenarios of flower box, fencing, balcony and boardwalk have already established their complete industry chains, perfectly meeting the needs of aesthetics and functions of flower, gardening and outdoor space. Moreover, prefabricated timber construction has also attracted great attention in eco-friendly homestay and outdoor leisure facility constructions with its lightweight, fast-to-build and nature-integrated features. The Asia Timber Framing Expo will run for 3 days starting from May 15, 2026, at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, with a view to collecting resources in areas of WPC and wooden houses, timbre structure, gardening and landscape design to build a platform for technology exchange and commercial as well as trade co-operation. The Expo will demonstrate a Chinese example integrating ecological spaces and natural aesthetics to enhance the in-depth convergence between green building materials and outdoor living scenarios, facilitating the efficient transformation of and multiple benefits from the industrial resources.
Held at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou, the three-day Expo starting from May 15, 2026 serves as one of the major thematic exhibitions under the World Garden Living Expo and focuses on the innovation and development of the green economy sector. The 25,000-square-meter fairground will receive a total of more than 300 participating brands and over 20,000 professional visitors for patronizing, and will demonstrate various cutting-edge products including WPCMs, eco-friendly timber cabin design, prefabricated timber construction systems, and innovative achievements such as WPC outdoor decking, outdoor treated timber products and low-carbon timber building solutions. This aims to establish an industrial platform integrating product demonstration, technology exchange and business matching, which enhances the innovation application of the WPCMs and timber structure industries in areas of eco-friendly patio, cultural tourism, health and wellness, bringing sustainable aesthetic values to the outdoor living space in Asia.
